Moorea was the last stop on our tour of French Polynesia.  So, for our 35th wedding anniversary, we decided to splurge and stay at some place special to mark the occasion.  The Pearl Resort in Moorea, with its over-the-water bungalows, looked like a good choice.  It was... and it wasn't.  There's no doubt that the Pearl is a cut above our usual accommodation, however, flash architecture and a high price tag don't necessarily guarantee satisfaction.
