Rarotonga is the main island and most populated of the Cooks.  Its history links it to people from the Marquesas and Samoa, so we should once again see similarities to other islands in our travels.  Because it is a bit further south, the temperatures have dropped form the extreme heat of Samoa - something we are grateful for.   Rarotonga has been very much a place of relaxation as we have just enjoyed being here, with little touring and running about... except in our cute little rented funcar.
