The three figures found in the elephant cave represent three gods. Here you can see small offerings on the rock ledge and a larger more intricate one hanging above.  There are some figures of Ganesha (a Hindu god with an elephant head) in the cave, however the name of the cave comes from the elephant river found nearby.
