Our Time in Australia

In November of 1995, we moved from Paris to Australia in search of warmer weather, new scenery, a spot of work, and somewhere nice to make home base for travel throughout Asia.  On the advice of friends we made in our travels, we came to Brisbane.  It looked like a good place to be, so we set up a business as computer consultants, became Wacom Graphic Tablet resellers, built a lovely home, made some great friends, reveled in the sub-tropical weather, and enjoyed everything but the politics and the tax man.

Unfortunately, in 2001 the computer industry recession took hold, September 11 happened, and the bottom fell out of our computer income basket.  After hanging on for 3 years, we decided it was time for new careers, more travel, and exotic adventures.

So now we find ourselves bidding farewell to good friends and making plans for travel throughout the Pacific Islands and Asia.  The house is sold, the debts are paid, and we're ready for what life has to  offer.
