We spotted this elevator in our our hotel in Noumea, New Caledonia.  It didn't take long before we were calling it Schindler's Lift. 

In case you are not British or Australian, and a movie or history buff, the Brits and Aussies call an elevator a lift; and several years ago, a movie called 'Schindler's List' took top honours at the Oscars.
