Some of the Thai
words and their English translations in my dictionary originally
came from the Lexitron
Thai<-->English dictionary project developed by NECTEC in
Thailand. In accordance with the Lexitron licence, the following
statement is made: "This product is created by the adaptation
of LEXiTRON™ developed by NECTEC (http://www.nectec.or.th)."
However, none of the Lexitron software was used, only the Thai
words themselves. NECTEC has no association in any way with the
software available on this web site.
The Cartoon
Vocabulary Scenarios for Speak Easy Thai were developed by
Joanna Anderson, Ontario, Canada. Joanna drew the background
cartoon images to aid in learning Thai vocabulary.
Additions to
the Thai Dictionary were made by Khun Kob Matheson, Darmstadt,
Germany. She translated many pictures that I placed on the web
site into Thai, so that I could easily incorporate them into
the dictionary.
11 photographs
of Thailand were contributed by L. B. Asbeek Brusse, Netherlands.
They are being displayed by the Dictionary Maintenance program
and by the Speak Easy Thai program.
Dutch translations
were contributed by Maarten Dekker and Khun Yoongthong, Netherlands.
Dutch and Thai
translations were contributed by Guido De Beukelaer and Khun
Phai Prathaibut, Belgium. Guido hosts a Dutch-English-Thai forum
at http://www.thaiinfo.be/
Corrections
to the Thai Dictionary, new words, new sound recordings,
and new grammar notes were done by Khun Ravinan Sangpreecha in
Bangkok. Khun Ravinan has also done several presentations to
the Chong people and university representatives about this software.
She also created many new entries in the dictionary for Thai
government departments, schools and universities, hotels, etc.
She also used the Chong characters defined by Kamnan Cheun and created the first and only Chong TrueType font, using FontMaker.
Swedish translations
were contributed by Lars Olsson and his wife Khun Ratree, Sweden.
Animations and
editing of tone practice files for Speak Easy Thai were done
by Khun Thiparath Sukchit, Bangkok. Khun Thiparath also placed
several hundred pictures into the dictionary, and created many
new Thai words.
Danish translations
were contributed by Katja Hougaard, Denmark. These translations
are used as titles on the various report screens in Dictionary
Maintenance, when Danish is chosen as the preferred language.
Danish Stop
Word List (words not to be indexed) was contributed by Torben
Brams, Denmark. Torben is also contributing Danish words

Editing of sound
files and creation of animations for Speak Easy Thai were
done by Kattalee Rattanodom, Bangkok. She also did a lot of work
on the hot spots in the Speak Easy Thai scenarios.
Isaan words
are being entered into the Isaan Lao dictionary by Khun Pad Boonjan,
Bangkok. She is from Surin province, which is famous for its
elephant festival. She has recorded many words in Isaan Lao,
and has entered many pictures into the dictionary.
Norwegian words
are being contributed for the Norwegian directory by Jan Eggum,
Gjerdrum, Norway. He has also contrubuted a Norwegian Stop
Word List (words not to be indexed). See his web site at

Kanokrada Manochai,
Bangkok, has entered many new words into the Thai dictionary,
corrected some others, and edited many pictures; she also recorded
several thousand sound Thai files.
Michel Bosshard,
Geneva, Switzerland, is correcting words in the French dictionary.
